David was a head of management development programmes with British Telecom International. David left British Telecom in 1991, was appointed as a director of IPL consulting in 1992 and has continued in a range of business consultancy roles ever since.

David’s most recent pieces of work for The Norton Group have been across a range of sectors focusing on communications and engagement.  For RWE npower David has supported the internal communications team with the roll-out of their SAP programme. This has also embraced training and development requirements for various audiences to ensure that implementation is successfully rooted in technical knowledge and standardised practices.

In the last year, David has worked on a major strategy review and engagement plan for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). This work defined the future strategic priorities for the Organisation. It then took objective measures of employee engagement and mapped the results against current management behaviours and processes.  The Norton team continues to help CAF engage its people in line with the new strategic direction.

For both RWE and more recently Clarks, David has worked on management events preparing, designing and structuring strategic conferences aiming to communicate and engage teams in delivering company plans.

David has a strong focus on robust process and measured outcomes from any work he undertakes, bringing discipline and project management skills to engagement activity.
